The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offers countless secrets scattered across the vast kingdom of Hyrule. Among the most interesting side quests in the Gerudo region is finding the massive statue known as the Eighth Heroine. Locating this carved monument allows players to earn essential rewards for exploring snow-covered terrain.
Starting the Eighth Heroine Quest
To begin this quest, travel to the exterior gates of Gerudo Town. Search for an NPC named Bozai, who can be seen running around the outer walls of the settlement wearing Sand Boots. Equipping the Gerudo outfit allows Link to speak with him and trigger the quest line.
Bozai asks Link to capture a picture of the mysterious Eighth Heroine statue hidden deep in the mountains. In exchange for fulfilling his request, he promises to reward Link with the valuable Sand Boots. Make sure your Sheikah Slate camera module is fully unlocked before heading out.
Exact Location of the Eighth Heroine Statue
The Eighth Heroine is located high in the Gerudo Highlands region, northwest of Gerudo Summit. Navigating through the steep, snowy peaks can slow down movement significantly, so preparing warm clothing or cold-resistance food is strongly advised. Climbing the high elevation brings you directly to the face of the carved stone statue.
The coordinates place the massive structure in the northern plateau area of the mountain range. Look for a towering figure carved into the mountain walls surrounding the snowy valley. Once you arrive, position Link in front of the upper torso to take a clear photograph.
Capturing the Photo and Claiming Rewards
Ensure the picture captured on your Sheikah Slate shows a red exclamation mark icon next to the frame. This indicator confirms that the photo meets the specific requirements needed for quest completion. Once the image is saved, fast travel back to the shrine near Gerudo Town.
Speak with Bozai again to show him the photograph of the majestic monument. He will fulfill his promise by handing over the Sand Boots, which drastically improve movement speed in desert environments. Completing this task also opens up a follow-up quest to secure the Snow Boots.
